ASSOCIATE EDITORS
(MEG and LIFESTYLE ASIA TRAVEL)

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Associate Editor assumes the Editor-in-Chief’s duties in his/her absence, supports the Managing Editor in the maintenance of the magazine’s overall look, voice and content, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the magazine. He/she also enforces strict compliance with internal timetables as well as art and copy or production deadlines to guarantee the timely delivery of the magazine.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduates of Journalism, Creative Writing, Communications, Literature or any related course;

  • At least 2 years of editorial experience with excellent writing and copyediting skills;

  • Superior organization skills; dependability and punctuality in submitting deliverables;

  • Self-starter; good eye for composition, color & detail.





EDITORIAL ASSISTANT
(INSIDE SHOWBIZ)

BASIC FUNCTION:
he Editorial Assistant is primarily responsible for the coordination of resources necessary for the completion of the magazine.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, Literature, Humanities or any related course;

  • Preferably Female with at least 1 year of editorial work experience;

  • Able to do writing, editing and layout;

  • Must be a highly organized person who is also willing to do administrative work;

  • Articulate, Creative, Sociable, Committed to Excellence, Driven, Energetic, High Integrity, Well-connected, Fashionable, Detail-oriented, has Fine Taste and has High Tolerance for stress;

  • Has interest and/or exposure in media or entertainment.





FASHION ASSISTANT
(MEGA)

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Fashion Assistant coordinates and assists in fashion shoots. He/she represents MEGA Publishing Group in pre-production meetings, pictorials, events, and other official undertakings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, Literature, Humanities or any Fashion course;

  • Must be able to write articles and do research on fashion trends;

  • Must be a highly organized person who is also willing to do administrative work;

  • Articulate, Creative, Sociable, Energetic, High Integrity, Well-connected, Fashionable, Detail-oriented, Good communication skills.





PHOTOGRAPHERS

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Photographer is primarily responsible for producing photography requirements for the Editorial Department such as portraits, product shoots, food, architectural, travel, fashion and event photography. He shall also act as assistant to other photographers if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduates of Photography, Fine Arts, Multi-Media Arts or any art-related course;

  • Males / Females - 22 to 30 years old;

  • Highly-skilled in Advance Photography and Digital Imaging;

  • With background in Advertising & Architectural Photography and Events paparazzi;

  • With background in Adobe Photoshop.





ADVERTISING ACCOUNT EXECUTIVES

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Advertising Account Executive is primarily responsible in obtaining sales for the Ad pages of assigned magazine titles of Mega Publishing Group. He/She handles the procurement of sales leads, product presentation, account servicing and closing deals and ensures that all documents relative to the client’s advertising placement are complete and satisfactorily executed on time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course;

  • At least 1 year experience in sales – preferably with exposure in fashion, retail or realty and marketing;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, inter-personal relations;

  • Service-oriented; charismatic, articulate, creative, sociable, committed to excellence, highly driven and energetic, morally sound, stylish.




TRADE MARKETING SUPERVISOR

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Trade Marketing Supervisor shall function as the relationship officer between Mega Publishing Group, trade and newsstands partners. He/she assists the Circulation Sales Manager in the development of trade programs and strategies and in the implementation of these programs to help increase sales of the company and its trade partners as well as help increase brand presence / visibility in strategic areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College graduate with Business and Marketing background;

  • With at least 3 years with relevant work experience and with good sales background;

  • Proficient in the use of computer applications, with people management, budget and finance planning skills;

  • Must be detail-oriented, analytical and good in oral and written communication;

  • Must have a pleasing personality and can work under pressure;

  • Must be proactive, team oriented, client service oriented, organized, driven for continuous growth and with high integrity.





EVENTS & PROMOTIONS ASSOCIATE

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Events and Promo Associate is responsible for the implementation of the events and promotion plan. Facilitates execution of all magazine initiated events, event sponsorships/tie-ups, and in-mag/online promotions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College graduate, preferably with Business, Marketing, Communication Arts or any related course background;

  • At least 1 year work experience; experience in Marketing is an advantage;

  • Creative in conceptualizing promotions; with Analytical Skills Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.






MEDIA RELATIONS OFFICER FOR TV/RADIO

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Media Relations Officer – TV/Radio is responsible for implementing the broadcast campaign for each title including the corporate brand. He/she develops new relationships and maintains and improves existing relationships with relevant broadcast media on behalf of the MEGA Publishing Group. He/she also monitors TV media coverage (not bartered) and provides media evaluation reports. He/she is the point person for all TV media inquiries and initiates and oversees PR/TV activities to support corporate / magazine launches, cover pictorials, events, conferences, and media briefings, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College graduate, preferably with Business, Marketing, Communication Arts or any related course background;

  • At least 1 year work experience; experience in any field of Media is an advantage;

  • Must be sociable, detail-oriented, and with very good interpersonal skills.




TRADE & VISIBILITY ASSOCIATE

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Trade and Visibility Associate is responsible for the implementation of the trade and visibility plan and ensures presence of the all magazines in strategic partner establishments. He/she is also the relationship officer between MEGA PUBLISHING GROUP and its trade business partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College graduate, preferably with Business, Marketing, Communication Arts or any related course background;

  • At least 1 year work experience preferably in Marketing;

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation skills;

  • Must be analytical and good in business mathematics.





INTERNS
(Editorial – Mega/Meg, Advertising, Finance, HR, Library)


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program Must have good oral and written English communication skills;

  • Has enthusiasm and displays a genuine interest in the task assigned to them;

  • Must be dependable, organized and self-motivated;

  • Internship positions available for the summer and within the school year.
